Obtaining visas on arrival in India: the "electronic tourist visa issuing system (Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVoA) enabled with Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)"

The Indian government introduced an "electronic tourist visa issuing system (Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVoA) enabled with Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)", taking effect from November 27, 2014.

 

Passengers wishing to use the electronic tourist visa issuing system must apply via the website of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs at least 4 days prior to entering in India.

Attention

Visa on arrival application process for Japanese would take more than one or two hours. We strongly recommend to have enough time to outbound connection flight.
