On the 1st Floor of Terminal 5 where you will arrive, there are immigration, baggage claim, customs and 1-STOP lanes. Passengers with a connection on American Airlines (AA) or United Airlines (UA) should proceed to the connection baggage counter for that airline. There are also Information and currency exchange and outside the exit there are areas for boarding/alighting buses and taxis. Passengers traveling between the terminals should take the escalator to the shuttle station Airport Transit System (ATS) between terminals.

On the ATS Level of the Terminal 1 where you will depart from, there is a station for the monorail (Airport Transit System) that goes around all the terminals in the airport. Take an escalator from that station to the Upper Level and there is an ANA check-in and ticketing counters to perform check-in procedures. After the procedures, please proceed to the security check or fast track security screening. After passing through, on Concourse B, there are Information and United Club. Further on, on Concourse C, there are another United Club and the Polaris Lounge.

On the 1st Floor arrival floor of Terminal 5, there are the American Airlines (AA) connection baggage counter, United Airlines (UA) connection baggage counter, Information and currency exchange. There is also an escalator to the shuttle station Airport Transit System (ATS) between terminals. Outside of Exit 5E, there is a shuttle bus station between terminals.
Transfer between Terminals
You can use the monorail (ATS/Airport Transit System) to transfer between terminals.
ATS operating hours (daily): 05:00 - 22:30 (Operating hours are subject to change without prior notice.)
Outside the ATS operating hours, please use the "Terminal only" shuttle bus. (Available 24 hours a day)
The shuttle bus operates in the order of Terminal 5, Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and Terminal 5.
It takes about 20 minutes to get from Terminal 5 to Terminal 1.
Please make sure to pick up your baggage.

Your checked-in baggage must be picked up after completing immigration control.(Please make sure to pick up the baggage even when the final destination is printed on the tag of your baggage.)

Since the connecting counter of United Airlines(UA) is located at the far end right side before the exit from Customs and that of American Airlines(AA) counter at the left side, please check in your baggage here again.(Check-in services are also available here.)
When connecting to Air Canada(AC) or Delta Air Lines(DL)
You can check in the baggage at the baggage belt before the connecting counter of United Airlines(UA).(This applies only to the case where the baggage tag shows the final destination.)

This is the O'Hare International Airport terminals map. Terminal 1, the ANA departure terminal, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and Terminal 5, the ANA arrival terminal, are connected by the Airport Transit System (ATS), a shuttle service between terminals. There is also a shuttle bus stop for airport hotels located in between Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
From Other Airline companies to ANA
Passengers who arrive at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 must proceed directly to the departure gate.
Passengers who arrive at other terminals must proceed to the ANA check-in counter of Terminal 1.
